IMPORTANT: make sure you do them ONE by ONE. because the wires are certain leghnths and u dont want to mix them up.



What youll need:

Tools

6 Spark plugs

Wire package





start off with your first wire, pull it out, take out the spark plug, replace the spark plug, and then replace the wire with a NEW one that matches the same size .

Same as any engine. Unbolt any covers...usually there's a plastic one on v6's and sometimes a metal cover on 4 cylinders. Remove wires or possibly coil packs (distributorless ignition; they are bolted down). Remove spark plugs with spark plug socket and socket extension. Gap new spark plug to factory specs; add a little anti-seize on threads of spark plug. Screw spark plug into head threads using only the socket extension and the socket (no socket wrench). Once it's hand tightened use the socket wrench to turn 1/2 to 3/4 clockwise. Apply di-electric grease to the inside of the spark plug wire and/or coil pack. Place the wire or boot on the spark plug and tighten if required. Repeat 5 more times...don't remove all the packs/wires at once so that you don't flub the placement and end up with misfires.
