How easy to change gasket 1995 altima where the sparkplug or oil cap?

How easy to change new gasket 1995 altima where the sparkplug or oil cap is located. I dont know what you call that whole big metal thingy. It is sputtering front the front and is making a mess in the front hose and radiator. When i look at it closely, all i need to do is take out 4 spark plugs, 8 or 9 screws and the whole thing will come off so i can replace the gasket?? Seems pretty easy access that won't hurt my knuckles cause it all on top surface lol. make sense? Anyone done it on their nissan Altima 1995?How easy to change gasket 1995 altima where the sparkplug or oil cap?
its exactly what u just described. its maybe like 8 bolts that go around the perimeter of the valve cover and you simply remove them peel off the old gasket which is probably stuck to either the cylinder head or the valve cover, and then place the new one in the groove of the valve cover, remove the small circle gaskets for the spark plugs, and bolt down. theres a specific torque specification for valve covers, but if you torque it down equally across all the bolts, and snug it real good you should have no problem. How easy to change gasket 1995 altima where the sparkplug or oil cap?

Good job on doing things yourself!! Yeah, you can do it! Just make sure to tighten a little on one side, then the other all the way around like a tire. If you don't do it that way, it could pinch the gasket and it will leak. If you have an overhead cam, it is called a valve cover.
